Kiep Bac Temple festival takes place annually from the 18th to the 20th of the eighth Lunar month at Kiep Bac Temple, in Hung Dao Commune, Chi Linh District, Hai Duong Province. The temple was built in dedication to Tran Hung Dao, a pre-eminent general under the Tran dynasty, whose talent and morality were exceptional. The festival consists of a welcoming ceremony and a navy marching ceremony on the Luc Dau River. Hundreds of visitors attend the festivities.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a joyful occasion for children to beat drums, perform the lion’s dance, participate to lantern processions, and to eat pastries.

Kate Festival ( take place in the North )
Date from : September 25, 2003 to 5/10/2003( or 29/8 to September 9, Lunar calendar)
This is the biggest and the most joyful festival in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces, where live many Cham people. The ceremony takes place at Poklong Garai Tower, Po Rome Tower, Po Nugar Tower Temple, on the 1st of July according to the Cham calendar (corresponding to August or September by the Lunar calendar). The ceremony is held in commemoration of the national heroes, the ancestors, the deities, as well as King Poklong and King Porome of the Champa kingdom. People from surrounding areas gather at the towers to attend the ceremony, which is simple but of great significance. After the teacher has read excerpts from Taoist books, and the holy man has observed certain rituals in the courtyard, they will enter the tower to witness the female medium and the holy man washing, and changing clothes of King Poklong Garai’s stone statue, and saying prayers and singing folk songs. After the rituals, there are singing and dancing performances on the river, and worshipping rituals take place in front of the main temple and its surroundings.

Do Son Buffalo Fighting Festival

This festival in held in Do Son,
Haiphong. Before the fighting, there is the flag dance. After the call of loudspeakers, buffaloes come to the fighting in pairs. They bravely fight, hammer, locking each other with their horns. The one that runs away is declared vanquished. The winner will fight during the final round on the 9th of the 8th Lunar month; the final winner will be carried in triumph to the communal house, among the excited spectators. The winner as well as the vanquished are killed and their meat is distributed to all participants as a gift from the spirits. This festival in held in Do Son,
